Puppies are delivered in our home. After they are a couple days old they are moved out of our kid pool and into their new pen. At 3 days old we start neurological stimulation up until the puppies are 16 days old
ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation)- 5 exercises each day. Which help the puppy deal with stresses in its everyday life, stronger immunity, longer life and stronger hearts. A puppies first 2 weeks of life they sleep and eat. By putting a little stress on their little bodies we are able to make an impact on the rest of their lives. The stresses we place on their bodies are;
holding the puppy on his/her back for 3-5 seconds
holding the puppy upside down for 3-5 seconds
holding the puppy head side up for 3-5 seconds
Placing the puppy on a cold towel for 3-5 seconds
Stimulating the puppies paws with a Q tip for 3-5 seconds
Puppies eyes and ears open at around 14 days old, around the same time we end ENS and ESI. Then we will start on startle recovery, this is when we introduce a new object or experience daily along with dropping a metal bowl or making a strange sound they have never heard.
Through this process mama always has a place to rest/get away from her puppies if she decides to. After the puppies can go to the bathroom on their own we start them on litter training. We use recycled paper pellets until the puppies are ready to go home. This way if you have a litter box the pup can go in there rather then the carpet.

Our puppies go home socialized and handled daily. They are all socialized with children and adults of all ages. At 6 to 7 weeks old we do temperament testing using the Volhard method.
